At Starhill Global REIT, sustainability underpins our long-term approach to managing and growing the portfolio. We focus on enhancing the operational performance and resilience of our assets, while supporting responsible business practices and creating value for our unitholders, tenants, and stakeholders.

Our sustainability efforts are guided by internationally recognised frameworks such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards, Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) Real Estate Sector Standards and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs). These are also aligned with Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited (SGX-ST) requirements, ensuring transparency and accountability as we continue to strengthen our business for the future.

This covers the ESG performance of our operations across Singapore, Australia, Malaysia, Japan and China, as disclosed in our financial statements. Our Sustainability Pillars

We are committed to minimising the environmental footprint of our properties and managing climate-related risks and opportunities to build climate-resilience into our portfolio.

Our environmental management approach focuses on:

  • Promoting energy efficiency in our properties to reduce greenhouse gas emissions
  • Mitigating climate-related risks in our portfolio
  • Improving water efficiency

Our environmental measures include attaining green certifications, improving energy efficiency, reducing carbon emissions, and ensuring responsible water consumption across our portfolio. We regularly monitor, review and report relevant data for the properties within our operational control.

As at 30 June 2025, 63% of our portfolio by net lettable area, or an equivalent of six out of nine properties, has attained green certifications, keeping us on track to achieve our target of 70% by 2030.
